2 injured in motorcycle crash involving deer in Douglas County
Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash involving a deer early Monday morning in Douglas County.
The county sheriff’s office said the crash occurred on County Road 4 Southwest, near County Road 21 Southwest.
An investigation revealed two motorcycles were eastbound on County Road 4 Southwest when a deer ran onto the road. One of the motorcycles was able to avoid the deer, while the second motorcycle lost control, the sheriff’s office said.
Both the driver and the passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.
The driver was transported by ambulance to Alomere Health in Alexandria, while the female passenger was airlifted from the scene.
Their conditions are not known at this time.
