Ohio governor, DC mayor issue mask mandates
The governor of Ohio has issued a statewide mask mandate and Washington, D.C.’s mayor is issuing a mask mandate, too.
Gov. Mike DeWine issued the mandate Wednesday, as COVID-19 cases continue rising in the state.

The mandate goes into effect Thursday.

Mayor Muriel Bowser said Wednesday she will issue an executive order making face masks mandatory outside homes.
Bowser said the order would include “enforcement language” detailing possible fines for violations.
