The St. Paul Police Department is improving relationships by reaching out to the city’s youngest residents.

St. Paul bike cops are introducing themselves using a brand new "bike truck." The truck is complete with a mechanic station for fixing neighborhood bikes, a large screen TV for gaming, a basketball hoop and a giant freezer full of ice cream.

"The most important thing is just connecting with the community, getting with them talking with them having great dialogue, which it’s not scripted," said Sgt. Jayson Bain. "We roll up on a park and see kids playing we pull the truck out."
