1 hurt in New Brighton shooting

Friday, New Brighton police were investigating a shooting that left one person hurt.
The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, in the area of 20th Avenue Northwest and Northwest 14th Street.
Upon arrival, officers found a person suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital. The victim’s current condition is unknown, officers reported.
Officers remained at the scene to investigate, however, they said there is no threat to the general public.
There was no word on whether any arrests had been made.
