UPDATE: St. Paul police announced Monday morning a 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with a man’s death in an alley Sunday night.
Police also identified the victim as 45-year-old Lay Hae.
Investigators were at the scene near Edmund Avenue West and St. Albans Street North following a 911 call.
St. Paul police said the case will be transferred to the county attorney’s office for charging consideration.

A 16-year-old male has been arrested for murder in connection to last night’s death of a man in an alley behind a house on the 600 block of Edmund Avenue.
The case will now be referred to the County Attorney’s Office for charging consideration.

St. Paul police are investigating after they say a man died in an alley late Sunday night.
According to the department, a 911 call came in at about 11:15 p.m., reporting two people fighting outside a home along the 600 block of Edmund Avenue West.
Upon arrival, officers found a man who was "gravely injured" in an alley in the area. St. Paul paramedics were called and officers attempted to help the man, however, life-saving efforts were unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The department stated a suspect was taken to police headquarters where investigators will continue the interview process to learn what led to the fight and the victim’s death.
The Ramsey County medical examiner is expected to identify the victim as well as release information on the official cause of death.
St. Paul police are asking anyone with any information on the incident to call the department at 651-266-5650.
According to the department, this incident marks the 19th homicide in the city this year.
