Monday, George Floyd’s brother visited a memorial started for Floyd in Minneapolis after his in-custody death last week.
Despite a curfew order Sunday night into Monday, many people remained at 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, outside Cup Foods, at the scene where George Floyd died one week ago.
Dozens of people held a calm, quiet vigil for Floyd. Despite not following the curfew, the bulk of arrests were from gatherings on Interstate 35W.

Because the scene remained peaceful overnight, law enforcement allowed the crowd to stay.
A KSTP crew saw a small fire start but it was quickly put out because protesters didn’t want anything damaged.
