Universities locally and around the country create scholarship funds in memory of George Floyd
Some local universities have created scholarship funds in memory of George Floyd.
Scott Hagan, President of North Central University in Minneapolis, urged universities to create scholarship funds in Floyd’s name Thursday during his memorial service.
Locally, North Central University has created the George Floyd Scholarship fund and the University of Minnesota has also started a scholarship fund in honor of Floyd.
Around the country, schools from New York to Tennessee to Alabama have created funds in Floyd’s memory.
