1 person taken to hospital following standoff in north Minneapolis, police search for suspect

Police say one person was critically injured Tuesday following a standoff in north Minneapolis. 

Police said a suspect locked himself inside of a home near 21st and Irving avenues. 

The injured person suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to an area hospital, according to police. 

When officers were finally able to enter the home, the suspect had escaped.
