Police investigating fatal shooting in Powderhorn neighborhood

Police are investigating what led up to a shooting Friday morning in Minneapolis that left one man dead.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, the incident happened at about 7 a.m. in the area of 34th Street and Elliott Avenue South.

The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he later died. 

No one is currently in custody in connection with the incident, police said.
