Another former MPD officer charged in Floyd’s death released from jail on bond

Another of the former Minneapolis Police officers charged in connection to the death of George Floyd is out of jail on bond.

Jail records show J Alexander Kueng, 26, made conditional bond and was released from jail Friday night.

Last week, Thomas Lane was released from jail on conditional bond.

Kueng, Lane and Tou Thao are each charged with unintentional aiding and abetting second-degree murder as well as aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter. Derek Chauvin is facing second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges in the death of Floyd on Memorial Day. Thao and Chauvin remained in custody as of Friday night.

Lane, Thao and Kueng each had their bail set at $1 million without conditions or $750,000 with conditions. Chauvin’s bail was set at $1.25 million without conditions or $1 million with conditions.
