MPD investigating Minneapolis shooting, 1 dead

The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating a shooting on Tuesday that left one man dead. 

According to police, officers arrived on the scene near the 4100 block of Aldrich Avenue North around 6:18 p.m. 

Officers were advised that the adult male victim had been transported to North Memorial by private transport. 

The man later died at the hospital.

The police say the investigation is "truly in (its) infancy." 

More information is expected to come out at a later time.
