UPDATE: St. Paul police say missing 7-month-old reunited with mother

UPDATE:

St. Paul authorities say a 7-month-old who was reported missing has been reunited with her mother.

Police confirmed just before 8 p.m. that Chanelle Jones has been safely located.

According to police, Chanelle was dropped off at North Memorial Urgent Care in Minnetonka by an unknown adult at about 6 p.m. The child was not harmed. She was later taken to Children's Hospital in St. Paul.

Jamal Jones, the girl's father, who authorities believe she was with, is not in custody. Police say he is wanted for domestic assault and stalking in connection to the incident.


UPDATE: 

Police have reissued a missing person alert for a 7-month-old who authorities had earlier said was found.

The 7-month-old was identified as Chanelle Jones.  

According to an alert from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the child is believed to be with her father, 21-year-old Jamal Lamarr Jones.

Earlier in the day, police said they had located Jones. However, authorities said they located the wrong person.

Police say they remain concerned about the child's wellbeing.


UPDATE: 

The St. Paul Police Department said as of 2:57 p.m., Jamal Jones has been located and arrested in Minneapolis by Metro Transit police. The 7-month-old Chanelle Jones has been located and is 'OK.' Police say they are in the process of reuniting her with her mother. 


St. Paul police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 7-month-old child.

According to an alert from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Chanelle Jaliyah Jones is believed to be with her father, 21-year-old Jamal Lamarr Jones.

The BCA said Jamal Jones assaulted the child's mother and then took the child.

It's unclear what the child might be wearing at this time, and the BCA said it also wasn't sure which direction or method of travel Jamal Jones might be using.
