1 victim in critical condition after Minneapolis shooting

A victim is in critical condition after a shooting in Minneapolis early Saturday morning, according to the Minneapolis Police Department. 

At 12:34 a.m., officers responded to a report at 3200 block of 6th Street North after the ShotSpotter was activated. 

While officers were en route to the activation call, it was upgraded to a shooting. 

Once officers arrived on the scene, they were advised that the victim was transported by a private vehicle to North Memorial Medical Center. 

According to police, the suspect fled the scene before the officers arrived. 

Some officers responded to North Memorial Medical Center to find out the victim was in critical condition but is expected to survive. 

The incident is under investigation. More information is expected to come out at a later time.
