Gophers’ Casey O’Brien beats cancer for 5th time

Minnesota Golden Gophers holder Casey O’Brien has done it again: he’s beaten cancer.
The now five-time cancer survivor posted on social media Friday that it was his last day of chemotherapy.

"God has taken care of me again! Surrounded by all my HERO doctors and nurses," he wrote in the post. "Thankful to be treated at the best hospital in the country @UMNChildrens. Can’t wait to go play football."
In December, O’Brien received the Disney Spirit Award for his fortitude and dedication to helping others.
