Champlin man seriously injured in Wadena County crash

A Champlin man suffered life-threatening injuries Thursday afternoon after crash east of Detroit Lakes.
A Minnesota State Patrol crash report states, at about 2:30 p.m., a Chevrolet Tracker was headed north on Highway 71 in Blueberry Township. Near 378th Street, it crossed over the center line and into the southbound lanes, where it struck a construction tractor.
The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 34-year-old Travis Colter Vredenburg, suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. Authorities say he wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time.
The driver of the tractor wasn’t injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
