2 injured after shots fired in Minneapolis

Two adults were injured after shots were fired in Minneapolis Friday night, according to the Minneapolis Police Department. 

At 6:29 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 1600 block Washington Avenue N. 

When officers arrived and were checking the area, a call from the Hennepin County Medical Center stated that two adults showed up with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. 

According to police, some officers responded to the hospital while others continued to canvass the area and speak to several people who may have seen or heard something. 

The incident remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
