17-year-old injured in New Brighton shooting

Authorities say a 17-year-old was injured Wednesday morning following a shooting in New Brighton. 

New Brighton police were called just after 2 a.m. to an apartment building on the 21000 block of West County Road E on the report of a shooting. 

When authorities arrived, they located a 17-year-old boy who suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks. 

The teen was taken by ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center.
