FCC chairman thanks broadcasters for work during COVID-19 pandemic

Monday, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai thanked television and radio broadcasters for their work during the COVID-19 outbreak.

"As always, in times of emergency, broadcasters are stepping up to serve their communities and help keep people informed, healthy and safe," Pai said in a statement.

According to the FCC, broadcasters across the country have run public service announcements that are worth "tens of millions of dollars," aired educational programming that help teachers and parents and have expanded local news coverage.
