Alleged burglar found in St. Paul house, suspect in custody

An alleged burglar was greeted by a homeowner in St. Paul on Wednesday.
According to St. Paul Police, at 6:45 p.m. a resident on the 800 block of Selby Avenue called police to say his house had been broken into.
When the resident walked inside he found the suspect armed with a knife.
The resident was able to get out of the house safely.
According to the watch commander, the suspect is an adult male who has been taken into custody for burglary.
The male is being evaluated for injuries after jumping from the second floor. He is also being evaluated for mental health, said police.
SWAT was on the scene and the situation remained ongoing until early Thursday morning at 1 a.m.
