The COVID-19 pandemic and Sunday's snowy weather didn't stop one Easter event from happening in the Twin Cities.
The Maplewood Area Historical Society turned their annual Easter egg hunt into an Easter egg giveaway.
Several families drove up to get a free bag of goodies and get a picture with the Easter Bunny at a safe distance.
"We thought, 'Let's do it,'" Mike Erickson with the Maplewood Area Historical Society said. "It will put a smile on their face. It will put a smile on the parents and children face and make it something they will never forget for the rest of their lives."
The historical society says they will hold a traditional Easter egg hunt for kids next year.
