Lille extends unbeaten run to 16 matches after late draw with Marseille in Ligue 1

MARSEILLE, France (AP) — Marseille and Monaco have failed to put Ligue 1 leader Paris Saint-Germain under pressure. Lille has equalized against Marseille in the 87th minute at Stade Velodrome. Monaco has been held at Reims to 0-0 on Saturday. Marseille remained second in the standings, ahead of Monaco on goal difference. The pair of southern rivals are four points behind PSG, which faces in-form Lyon on Sunday. Lille extended its unbeaten run across all competitions to 16 matches. Second-place Marseille was in the driving seat after Quentin Merlin’s first-half goal until Bafodé Diakité’s late header for 1-1.
