Major ramps in, out of downtown Minneapolis close until fall, other metro roads close Monday

Here comes another week full of road construction around the metro!

Starting Monday morning, the ramp from Interstate 35W northbound to Fifth Avenue into downtown Minneapolis will close until this fall. The ramp from Fourth Avenue southbound to I-35W southbound will close at the same time. The ramps along I-35W northbound at 11th Street/Grant Street will remain open.

In the southeast metro, the ramp from I-494 eastbound to Highway 52 in Inver Grove Heights will close early Monday. Drivers will be detoured north on Highway 3 to Highway 62, where the ramps at Highway 52 remain open. The detour will stay in place until early May.

Highway 41 in Chanhassen is closing Monday morning. The roadway will shut down between 82nd Street and Peavey Road starting at 7 a.m until mid-July. Drivers will be detoured to nearby roads such as Galpin Boulevard and Audubon Road during this time.

Highway 95 in Cottage Grove is set to close as part of a resurfacing and larger safety improvement project beginning Monday. A stretch between 70th Street and 110th Street will shut down starting at 7 a.m. until fall. Motorists can take Keats Avenue or St. Croix Trail.
