Baler engulfed in flames in Eden Lake Township, complete loss
A baler was caught on fire in a field on Friday in Eden Lake Township.
According to Stearns County Sheriff's Office, at 12:36 p.m., deputies responded to a baler fire in a field just west of the intersection of County Road 34 and County Road 180.
Tyler Magedanz, 27, of Cold Spring, was bailing corn stalks when he noticed his New Holland baler was fully engulfed in flames.
Magedanz unhitched the baler from the tractor.
He attempted to extinguish the fire with a portable fire extinguisher but was unable to put the fire out. The baler was a complete loss.
Paynesville Fire extinguished the baler as well as some smaller pockets of fire in the field.
No one was injured.
