Spotty afternoon into overnight showers & storms, cooler tomorrow
I hope you’ve enjoyed this comfortable and sunny Wednesday morning! Temperatures today are comfortably topping off in the mid-70s. You will notice changes into the afternoon, with increasing cloud cover west to east as a cold front moves in from our west.
Scattered showers and storms are in place late morning and afternoon across western Minnesota. I’m not expecting severe storms. Eastern Minnesota and the Twin Cities has the slight chance for a few spotty afternoon showers.
However, the metro’s best shot at a few rain showers and storms is more so evening and overnight tonight. Again, I’m not expecting severe weather and rainfall totals will be much lower than our last couple rounds of storms. We could grab trace amounts of moisture up to about 0.25″
No heavy rain is in the forecast.
Thursday morning could feature some patchy fog, but I don’t expect that to be widespread or dense. We do have quite a bit of cloud cover Thursday morning, especially across eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Cloud cover thins out west to east into the afternoon with breezy northwesterly winds behind the departing cold front.
The weekend looks sunny and pleasant with temperatures in the 70’s.
Have a great day!
