Hot and humid Friday and Saturday, storms return late Saturday
Given our stubborn cloud cover and spotty showers across far eastern Minnesota, temperatures this evening are in the mid to low-70s. Most of Minnesota, west of the metro, have a toasty and sunny evening in place. However, given our proximity to the departing low centered in Wisconsin, we won’t see as much sunshine in the Twin Cities this evening.
Scattered showers and isolated, non-severe storms are possible this evening before sunset, which is at 8:38 pm this evening. Overnight cloud cover clears out west to east, with patchy fog again in the forecast overnight into early Friday morning.
Heat and humidity are in full swing again tomorrow, with highs in the low-90s. Saturday’s highs are near 90s too. We do have a dry Friday forecast, but that changes by Saturday. Storm chances return first across northern Minnesota during the day. Central Minnesota looks to start out with sunny skies and patchy fog Saturday morning. Cloud cover increases north to south into Saturday afternoon and evening. Scattered storms, some of which could be severe, are possible late afternoon and night across the metro and much of Minnesota.
Behind that cold front, Sunday is a cooler and seasonable forecast back in the low-80s. We keep the chance for a few showers and storms Sunday, but most of the day is dry.
Next week looks MUCH cooler with high temperatures in the mid to upper-70s over a handful of days.
Have a wonderful night!
