MDH: 2,567 total COVID-19 cases, 160 deaths total
On Tuesday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 97 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 2,567.
Seventeen more deaths were reported on Tuesday as well; so far, 160 Minnesotans have died from the virus.
MDH said state laboratories have completed 10,294 tests and private laboratories have completed 37,403 tests, for a total of 47,697.

Of the cases in Minnesota, 629 have required hospitalization. On Tuesday, there were 237 patients in the hospital and 117 in intensive care.
According to the MDH, 1,254 patients have recovered and no longer need isolation.
According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, the virus has infected about 2,501,156 people worldwide and killed 171,810.
About 659,732 people have recovered from the virus.
