Pedestrian dies in Sunday night Brooklyn Park crash

UPDATE: The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the pedestrian as 78-year-old Cuc Thi Tran.

A person is dead after a crash in Brooklyn Park on Sunday evening.

Officers from Brooklyn Park responded to the area of West Broadway and Candlewood Drive around 6:10 p.m. on Sunday.

Law enforcement says a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and died at the scene. No other information on what led up to the crash has been released.

The crash is being investigated by Brooklyn Park police.
