Motorcyclist killed in Chanhassen crash

A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Chanhassen on Wednesday night.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol incident report, a Yamaha YZF-R1 Sport was driving west on Highway 5 around 8:20 p.m. when it hit the back of a Nissan Rogue.

The driver of the motorcycle died as a result and was later identified as 33-year-old Thomas Frederick Trotter from Bloomington.

Neither the 37 or 34-year-old women in the Nissan Rogue were injured in the crash.
