Evening scattered storms before sunset, then cooler and windy tomorrow

Scattered storms this evening mainly before 8 PM are tracking west to east. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible with damaging winds and hail being the main threats. The potential for a strong storms is greatest across central and northern Minnesota into Wisconsin.

Otherwise we stay breezy overnight with mostly clear skies. Overnight lows are in the mid to upper-50s, with high temperatures tomorrow reaching into the Upper-60s for most (more so 70 degrees in downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul). Tomorrow morning we’ll start out with sunny skies, but cloud cover increasing into the afternoon. A few spotty showers even sprinkles are possible tomorrow afternoon across northern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin closer to another weaker front associated with low pressure to our north in Canada. The Twin Cities has the slight chance for sprinkles late tomorrow and it’s another windy day with west-northwesterly winds gusting to about 35 to 45 mph.

Friday looks partly to mostly sunny with seasonable temperatures in the mid to upper-70s. Your weekend stays mostly dry, just the chance for a few showers and isolated non-severe storms early Saturday morning.

Have a wonderful night!
