Scattered rain and storms overnight and Friday

Good evening! Today was another summer like forecast with highs near 80 degrees and comfortable humidity levels. Tonight rain and storms are first in place across western Minnesota, with storms developing eastward. Isolated severe storms are possible overnight into tomorrow morning, mainly across western and southern Minnesota (lesser extent northeastern MN)

The Friday morning commute is a soggy one. Showers and storms are likely, with heavy rain at times. We could see another 0.25-0.75″ of rainfall in the Twin Cities. Higher rainfall totals are likely where we have a strong storm or two. Winds are blustery tomorrow and temperatures are cooler in the upper-60s and low-70s. Count on a cloudier morning, but some decreasing cloud cover in into the afternoon. Spotty shower and storms are still likely tomorrow afternoon, but this won’t be widespread and we still grab dry periods as well.

Saturday is dry and pleasant with highs in the low-70s. Scattered storms and showers are possible Sunday and Memorial Day, but it doesn’t look like a washout either of those days.

Have a wonderful night!
