Cooler and breezy into Friday, sunnier and warmer weekend
Good evening! Temperatures this Thursday have varied dramatically because of the slow moving cold front tracking eastward through Minnesota into Wisconsin. High temperatures across western Minnesota were in the 30s, with even highs mid-20 across northwestern Minnesota. Across most of eastern Minnesota we saw highs in the mid to upper-40s, with mid to low-50s across western Wisconsin and far southeastern Minnesota.
Tonight is breezy and colder with northerly winds and temperatures in the mid-20s for the Twin Cities. Tomorrow morning starts out with mostly to partly cloudy skies, and the slight chance for a light wintry mix of snow and rain across far southern and southeastern Minnesota, closer to the low tracking eastward that stays centered south and east of Minnesota. High pressure builds in behind the departing system to our south/east tomorrow, which means we lose cloud cover as the day progresses Friday. We’ll end up with partly to mostly sunny skies Friday afternoon, and clear skies overnight into Saturday, which will lead to another chilly morning. However, Saturday kickstarts another warm-up with sunny skies and highs in the mid-40s.
Sunday is sunny as well with highs back into the low-50s. We continue to warm into the mid to upper-60s next week, with rain possible late Wednesday into Thursday.
Have a wonderful night!
