Warmer and cloudier midweek, light snow Up North

Here’s your Monday evening forecast for March 4, 2024 from Minnesota’s Weather Authority and Meteorologist Wren Clair.

Good evening! Tonight remains dry and quiet, with mostly clear skies this evening. Some increasing cloud cover is possible overnight into tomorrow morning, with mostly to partly sunny skies throughout your Tuesday forecast in central and southern Minnesota. Northern Minnesota will trend cloudier with the chance for a few flurries.

Snow chances for northern Minnesota return Wednesday (mainly PM) into Thursday. Totals should range from about 2 to 4 inches from Fergus Falls to Brainerd to Hibbing and northward. While the Twin Cities could see light rain late Wednesday, and potentially a light rain and or rain/snow mix overnight Wednesday into early Thursday. Measurable precipitation for the metro looks unlikely.

Temperatures midweek are in the low-50s, but we trend mostly cloudy. Sunshine returns Friday PM into the weekend.

Have a wonderful night!

Wren
