CDC adds 6 new COVID-19 symptoms to list

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have added new symptoms to pay attention to as they relate to COVID-19.

In addition to fever, a cough and shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, the CDC has added chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and a new loss of taste or smell to its list of symptoms.

The CDC states those symptoms may appear two to 14 days after a person has been exposed to the virus.

According to the CDC, the "emergency warning signs" of COVID-19 remain trouble breathing, persistent chest pain or pressure, new confusion, and bluish lips or face.

Individuals who experience those symptoms are advised to see medical attention immediately, the CDC states.
