It was their jobs that first created a bond between 6-time All-Star Twins baseball player Joe Mauer and 5 Eyewitness News Sports Director Joe Schmit.  Now a children’s book has been created.  “The Right Thing to Do: The Joe Mauer Story” was inspired by a story Mauer shared with Schmit years ago.  Joe Schmit wrote the book and Joe Mauer wrote the forward.
