Albert Lea City Council expands open container ordinance to include THC products

Albert Lea is rolling out new restrictions on cannabis products.
Earlier this week, the city council approved expanding the city’s open container ordinance.
KSTP sister station KAAL reports the ordinance will now cover open cans or bottles of cannabis products like THC-infused drinks or edibles. The ordinance previously only included alcohol.
The council passed the measure on a five-to-two vote.
