Roseville police arrest 5 following ATM theft, standoff
Roseville police say an ATM theft at Great Southern Bank led to an hours-long standoff in the city early Tuesday morning and ended with five people being taken into custody.
According to Roseville police, officers were called to Great Southern Bank on County Road B2 around 4 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that is believed to have been involved with the theft, with two people inside.
Police say although both people ran from the vehicle, one person was apprehended. The second was able to escape.
After speaking with the person taken into custody, officers went to the Key Inn, where they say four suspects barricaded themselves in a hotel room.
Eventually, police say a standoff began, which lasted two hours and ended without further incident. The four people inside were then arrested.
