43-year-old killed in 4-vehicle crash in Wright County

Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal four-vehicle crash that occurred in Albertville on Wednesday afternoon.

A Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse and Toyota Highlander were moving slowly in the left lane of westbound I-94 around 3:04 p.m.

43-year-old Benjamin Walter Wittrock was driving a Kia Optima and approached the vehicles, also driving westbound.

The four vehicles collided near milepost 202, State Patrol said.

Wittrock was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities said he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Nobody else was seriously injured in the crash.
