Another warm-up this workweek as mild December holds
Here’s your Tuesday evening forecast for December 5, 2023 from Minnesota’s Weather Authority and Meteorologist Wren Clair.
Good evening! It was nice to see some snow on the ground this morning, brightening things up now that all the leaves have fallen. The about half inch of snow most of us saw, will continue to melt into tomorrow as we have another warm-up. While overnight lows are cooler tonight, in the mid-20s for most the metro, tomorrow is a warmer day about about 10 degrees. Winds are breezy out of the south tomorrow, with highs in the mid-40s. We’ll start out with mostly cloudy skies Wednesday morning, but we should chip away at the cloud cover a bit into Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday is the warmest day in the forecast, with highs around 50° for the Twin Cities (record high is 54°, 1939). Overall, the next 7 days stay mainly dry, with only slight chance for light snow at times Friday night, Saturday morning, and potentially Monday. While temperatures cool back to the mid-30s over the weekend these temperatures aren’t truly cold for mid-December.
Have a wonderful night!
Wren
