Light rain/wintry mix possible overnight into early tomorrow

Here’s your Monday evening forecast for November 20, 2023 from Minnesota’s Weather Authority and Meteorologist Wren Clair

Good evening! As a cold front enters western Minnesota tonight and tracks eastward into tomorrow morning, scattered light rain (even drizzle) is possible. Rain could mix with snow late overnight into early Tuesday morning. The chance to see a few flakes is looking more likely north and east of the Twin Cities. No snow accumulation is in the forecast, and any precipitation totals would be very light.

Winds overnight are light and variable, with some patchy fog possible at times. By Tuesday morning’s commute, winds become breezy out of the northwest behind the cold front. Count on a breezy Tuesday forecast, with mostly cloudy skies throughout most of the day. We’ll start to see sunshine west to east into Tuesday afternoon, with highs around 43° for the Twin Cities. The metro and far eastern Minnesota would be last to see the cloud cover thin out. Wednesday is warmer with highs in the upper-40s and partly to mostly sunny skies. Your Wednesday forecast does stay breezy. Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving long weekend travel will be quiet and cooler. High temperatures on Thanksgiving are back into the mid to low-30s across the metro, and we’ll have partly cloudy skies in place on your turkey day.

Have a wonderful night!

Wren
