Ken Barlow’s forecast for today…mild with developing thunderstorms

Good Tuesday morning!

After a bit of sun this morning, showers and thunderstorms will develop today across the area.

An isolated severe storm is possible with large hail being the main threat, especially southeast of the metro.

More clouds will be with us on Wednesday and on Thursday, we can expect some occasional rain. Warm temperatures will stick around into Thursday.

The big change comes Thursday night and on Friday.

A strong north and northwesterly wind will blow the coldest air of the fall into the state by Friday afternoon.

Afternoon temperatures will not make it out of the 40s on Friday and they will not warm up all weekend.

This weekend we will also see some scattered rain showers, which may mix with snowflakes, even across the Twin Cities metro area.

The cold weather will last into early next week, including Halloween.

Have a great day!

Ken
