Xcel Energy donates 4,000 ear protectors to hospital workers

Xcel Energy has donated 4,000 company-made ear protectors to hospital workers in M Health Fairview hospitals and clinics.

It’s part of the Xcel’s effort to make wearing masks more comfortable around workers’ ears.

Three employees found the solution with a plastic extender they made using 3D printers.

The extenders even form the message "Stay Strong."

Xcel said they plan to keep making the extenders and continue donating them on a weekly basis.
