South St. Paul man sentenced in connection to kidnapping plot

A 41-year-old South St. Paul man who pled guilty to breaking into a Shoreview woman's garage as a part of a kidnapping plan has been sentenced. 

Court records show that Nathan James Homme was sentenced to 21 months in prison but received a stay for 10 years. 

Homme will be placed under supervised probation for 10 years. 

Man pleads guilty to burglary in alleged kidnapping plot

A criminal complaint states the woman's garage was broken into in March 2019. Authorities then executed a search warrant at Homme's home in Altoona, Wisconsin, and allegedly found evidence he'd executed the break-in and had written plans to kidnap someone. 

They also allegedly found a "kidnapping kit" containing rope, binoculars, latex gloves, duct tape and other items.
