Above-average temperatures are expected in the metro area through the next week.
According to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl, the average high temperature this time of year is in the mid-30s. He said the Twin Cities area is expected to be above that throughout the entire week.
Dahl says that there are currently four inches of snow left on the ground in the metro, however, it is all forecast to melt by the end of the week.

Along with the warm temperatures comes the chance for some moisture. Tuesday could produce light snow or some rain.
After hitting 50 this past weekend, the Twin Cities could hit 60 this upcoming Sunday. Not only would that be the first 60-degree day of the year, but it could also produce the years first thunderstorm according to Dahl.
