Rosenbauer Minnesota, based out of Wyoming, Minnesota, claims it has built the world's first electric firetruck.

It looks a lot like a passenger bus, but there's a lot more to it on the inside. It drives and pumps water using electricity, and it also has a diesel inverter so the vehicle is constantly charging.

The show model was built in Austria, but Rosenbauer plans to make them all in Minnesota.

Los Angeles and four other communities on the West Coast have already committed to buying the electric trucks.

They cost between $1.1 million and $1.3 million. Conventional firetrucks cost around $600,000.
