MDH: 9 more negative coronavirus tests, 10 pending cases in Minnesota

The Minnesota Department of Health said Thursday there are 10 coronavirus tests that are pending while more tests have come back negative.

MDH says those case have met the criteria for laboratory testing.

As of Thursday afternoon, a total of 22 potential cases in the state have tested negative, with the 10 cases still pending. That’s up from a day earlier when 13 negative cases and eight pending were reported.

The health department said if the virus is confirmed in Minnesota and spreads, there are multiple tools in its toolbox, which could potentially include closing schools or canceling public gatherings, or possibly requesting faith communities hold services via video.

According to the Associated Press, nearly 97,000 people have fallen ill with the coronavirus.
