Body pulled from Red River in Moorhead identified as missing man
A man’s body was pulled from the Red River around 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Moorhead Police Department said.
First responders were dispatched to Red River near a walking path in Gooseberry Park on a report of a body being found near the bank.
The man’s body had been in the water for an extended time, police said.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and the man was identified as 53-year-old Harold Anderson. His cause of death was ruled as freshwater drowning but the final toxicology report is still pending, police said.
Anderson was reported missing and hadn’t been seen since last month.
The investigation is still open and police asked anyone with information to call 701-451-7660.
