Dairy Queen giving out free ice cream cones Monday to celebrate first day of spring

Dairy Queens across the nation are handing out free small vanilla ice cream cones to honor the first day of spring.

KSTP Chief Meteorologist Ken Barlow says the new season officially begins at 4:24 p.m. Monday.

Dairy Queen says free cones will be given out all day but are limited to one per person.

Additionally, the restaurant said on its website that free cones will only be given out at participating non-mall locations.
