St. Paul schools to remain closed Wednesday as teachers strike

Schools in St. Paul will be closed again on Wednesday as educators continue to strike.
Educators went on strike Tuesday morning after St. Paul Federation of Educators Local 28 and St. Paul Public Schools were unable to make a deal regarding contract negotiations.
The bargaining team said its three main priorities are a fully-staffed mental health team in every building, more multilingual staff and additional educators supporting students with special needs.

In an update Tuesday, the district said it will offer breakfast and lunch at 24 SPPS locations.
The district said it would also open up seven Kid Space site or students from kindergarten to fifth grade. Parents can register their children for kid space here.
