The Minneapolis Convention Center is hosting the inaugural I Am My Ancestor’s Wildest Dreams Expo on Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. to celebrate Black History Month.
The event is hosted by the Minneapolis’ Racial Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Department and features vending opportunities for Black-owned businesses and guest speakers including poets, musicians, panel discussions, workshops and more pop-ups.
“At the core of this exciting event is the celebration of the Black Minneapolis community, but it is also a way to move us toward racial healing,” said Tyeastia Green, director of the City’s Racial Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Department.
