Hi-Five Sports Zone in Eden Prairie held a special New Year’s Eve celebration for kids – but don’t worry about sleep schedules, it was at noon instead of midnight.

Metro Transit and the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority offered free, sober rides for people celebrating New Year’s Eve.

Local running group 5K Everyday Conversations kicked off another year at Boom Island Park. The group continues to bring people together and provide attainable exercise opportunities in the Twin Cities.
